A
marvelous display of environmental activism by Prince William in central London
caught everyone of guard, when the Prince surprised the unsuspecting hungry
public at Burger King. He switched with the seller of the food truck, and
started distributing nature-friendly burgers to everyone, making his video go
viral on social media platforms.
The
heir to the English throne called them the “Earthshot Burgers” which are named
after the distribution of Earthshot awards last year to those five people who
have developed solutions to tackle environmental issues and contributed towards
environmentalism.
An Amenable Display of Distributing
Nature-Friendly Burgers
“Coming right up,” the
prince exclaimed to the people of central London “Morning everyone, nicely cooked, ready to go.”
He
then added: “Can’t vouch for the taste,
the quality but … I’m rolling with it.”
The Key Takeaways from Prince’s Simple Act
The
Duke of Cambridge has teamed up with the founders of YouTube channel known as Sorted
Food, the channel that reviews kitchen gadgets and also shares recipes to raise
the profile and work of three previous Earthshot prize winners.
Environmental Advocacy Of Food
“So the box you’re about to eat in is built by a company
called Notpla and there’s no plastic involved, they’ve come up with a seaweed
coating,” the prince told the people
present in front of the food truck.
Display Of Affable Ties To Countries Like
India And Kenya
Prince
William informed public that the ingredients used to make this burger have been
produced in a greenhouse of India by a company named ‘Kheyti’, and the stove
used was designed by a woman from Kenya, who made an environmental friendly
stove named, ‘Mukuru Clean Stove’. The purpose of both these countries was to
reduce the effect of air pollution caused by cooking.
Prince’s Efforts to Promote Nature Loving
YouTube Channels to the Public
As previously mentioned, the Prince has teamed up with the founders of YouTube channel ‘Sorted Food’, who have over 2.7 million followers on their YouTube channel. The Prince allowed them to post his video on their channel to increase its awareness around the world.
